Add a device to your Windows 10 PC When you plug in device and printers or turn on any device in your Windows 10 computer, it will find the device automatically. If your Windows 10 computer fails to identify the device, do follow the below steps. Windows 10 usually finds devices automatically when you plug them in or turn them on. If it doesn’t, follow these steps: In the search box on the taskbar, type devices. From the list of search results, select Devices and Printers.

Select Add a device.

Troubleshoot screen flickering in Windows 10

Screen flickering in your Windows 10 PC normally arises due to the incompatible apps and display drivers that has been installed onto it.

Go to the task manager window by pressing ctrl +alt +Del with your keyboard. If you find the running applications flickering on the computer, then the cause of the issue is either the app or the driver. Then, make sure that either you uninstall the app or update the display driver based on that information.

To uninstall the incompatible app

The three apps that are known to causescreen flickering in your Windows 10 PC are:

  • Norton AV,
  • iCloud
  • IDT Audio.

Uninstalling the above apps will solve the screen flickering issue in most cases. If you have any of the above apps installed onto your computer, use one of the below methods to uninstall them.

Method 1: Uninstall from Settings 

Click the Windows logo key + I on your keyboard to open the settings app. If it does not work, select the start button from the taskbar and then select settings.

Open Settings, select System -> Apps & features. Wait until the apps appear on the screen. 

From the listed apps, choose the app that you want to uninstall. Select the required app, then select Uninstall -> Uninstall.

If it prompts to confirm your choice in a User access control window, select Yes. The app may open a separate uninstaller where you will find additional steps to uninstall it or the app might uninstall on its own.

Method 2: Uninstall from the Start menu 

Press the Windows logo key on your keyboard to open the start menu or select the Start button in the lower-left corner of your computer screen.

Click the Start menu, select All apps.

Look at the list of apps and choose the app that you want to uninstall. Right click on the app, and then select uninstall. You will be prompted to confirm your choice in a user access control window, select yes in that window. The app sometimes might uninstall on its own or it may open a separate uninstaller in which you will have some additional steps to uninstall them.


If you want to keep using the apps Norton AV, iCloud or IDT Audio in Windows 10 device, you can go to the app manufacturer’s website to obtain information on app updates and Windows 10 Compatibility.

How to use Remote Desktop

To connect your PC to a remote desktop from afar on your Windows, Android, or iOS, you will have to setup the remote PC so it will allow remote connections.

On your remote desktop, select settings, settings page will be displayed. From the settings page, go to System -> About. Note down your PC name which will help you for your later use.

Next, open the Settingspage againthen go to System -> Power & sleep and check to make sure Sleep is set to Never.

From your local PC, open the Remote Desktop Connection and then enter the full name of the remote PC into Remote Desktop Connection of devices and printers.

Connect to Bluetooth devices

Using Bluetooth, you can use all sorts of wireless devices with your Windows Computer or device. The Bluetooth devices include Bluetooth headphones, speakers, phones, fitness trackers. Add your Bluetooth device to the Windows PC and start transferring files and folders. The way you pair your devices depends on the type of Bluetooth device you are using.

Read these below steps to connect a Bluetooth headset, speaker or any other audio device.

At first, turn ON your Bluetooth audio device and make it visible on your Windows PC. 

The way you make your Bluetooth audio device discoverable depends on the device. Learn how to make your device discoverable by visiting manufacturer’s website.

Now, turn ON Bluetooth on your Windows PC, if you have not turned it ON already. To turn ON Bluetooth on your PC, select action center -> Bluetooth from the taskbar.

In action center, select Connect, and then select the name of your Bluetooth devices and printers.

Follow the further instructions that might appear on the screen. Otherwise, you are done and connected.

If the two devices are in range of each other with Bluetooth turned ON, your Bluetooth device and PC will automatically connect.

Fix connections to Bluetooth audio devices and wireless displays

If you don’t find your Bluetooth device, even after pressing the Connect button in Action Centre, here are some things that you can try to fix connections to Bluetooth audio devices and wireless displays.

Make sure you have turned ON Bluetooth on both of your devices and ensure that the devices support Bluetooth. You will find a Bluetooth button in Action Centre.

  • If you don’t find the Bluetooth button in Action Centre, update the driver for your device.
  • To update the driver, go to Start, search for Device Manager, and select Device Manager from the list of results.
  • From the Device Manager Window, identify your device, right click on it and select Update Driver Software,then select Search automatically for updated driver software, and then follow the rest of the steps to complete the driver update process.

Step 3

  • If your device does not work even after upgrading the driver, remove the device and try repairing it.
  • To remove the device, go to Start, enter Devices, select Bluetooth, select the device, selectRemove device, and then try pairing the devices again.

Remove a Bluetooth device

You might have a Bluetooth device which you have paired previously with your PC that you want to remove. If you want to connect the device to your Windows PC later, you can pair it again.

Go to Start, select Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth.

Select the Bluetooth devices and printers which you have paired already and you ant to remove, click Remove device, and then click Yes.
